In daily life, several dry batteries are installed in remote controls, radios, flashlights, and electric toys that people use. Some citizens will find that some batteries cannot be used for a short time. On how to distinguish the advantages and disadvantages of dry batteries, the reporter interviewed Sun Yundong, an expert from the Municipal Quality Inspection Institute.

According to experts, the batteries used by citizens in remote controls, radios and other equipment are generally ordinary alkaline dry batteries, and the commonly used batteries are No. 1, No. 2, No. 5, and No. 7. The advantages and disadvantages of batteries can be easily identified in the following ways:

Take a look at the price. High-priced dry batteries are relatively better in quality. Don't buy batteries from unlicensed street vendors for cheap. These batteries not only have a short service life, but also have hidden dangers of leakage and environmental pollution.

Two weighs. Dry batteries of the same brand and specifications can be weighed on an electronic scale. A good quality battery is much heavier than a poor quality battery.

Check the appearance three times. For excellent dry batteries, the packaging will indicate the trademark, manufacturer, battery model, nominal voltage, battery polarity, production date, shelf life, and implementation standard number, and the workmanship is exquisite, neat and clean, and there is no leakage. When purchasing, you can also check whether the words "mercury-free", "0% mercury" and "mercury-free" are marked on the product.
